Architect / Land.Architect / Gardener
MA in Landscape Architecture with Management, University of Sheffield, UK
MArch (Hons), BArch (Hons) in Architecture, University of Thessaly, GR
Diploma in Professional Gardening, Capel Manor College, London

I am a London-based landscape architect with a background in architecture and a diploma in practical horticulture. My background in these disciplines gives me the advantage of having a holistic approach to design, regardless of whether I’m designing a building, a garden or a city masterplan.

I have worked on projects at all scales, from show gardens to the design of public space. I have hands-on experience of creating and planting small-scale landscapes: my main interest is in creating ecological projects and encouraging my clients to move away from thinking about plants as merely decorative elements in a space. I currently work on private projects in London and Greece, and I also teach garden design at Capel Manor College in Regent’s Park, London.

In 2016, I was the winner of the RHS ‘Green Plan It’ competition, for which I designed a community garden in collaboration with a group of students from Swanlea School in Whitechapel; the project was entered for Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, and received an award from the Landscape Institute in 2017.

Besides design, gardening and teaching, I am also a Landscape Ambassador and a member of the Landscape Institute’s (LI) editorial board. In 2018, I was one of the ten faces of the LI chosen to promote the profession in the UK and abroad.

I also enjoy illustration, and I have collaborated with the writer Nigel Dunnett to illustrate one of his books. I’m currently working on my first landscape-related picture book for children, and I write occasionally in newspapers and magazines in the UK and Greece.

Ext.Consultant/ Horticulturist / Plant Trader
Msc in Horticulture, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, GR
Erasmus Scholar, Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, DE
Horticulture Research, Institute for Plant Nutrition & Soil Science, Universität Hohenheim, DE

I am a horticulturist specialising in plant nutrition and soil. Coming from a family of plant traders and horticulturists, I grew up among plants, helping my father and grandfather in their glasshouse and nursery, carrying out all sorts of tasks, from overseeing all aspects of plant breeding, selection, planting and care to the commercial aspects of the trade and managing a small team of seven people.

My work is related to gardens and everything about them: I regularly collaborate with garden designers, landscape architects and gardeners to source the best quality plants at the best price possible. I also work as a consultant, helping people identify and remedy the health problems that plants or soil might have in their gardens.

Joining forces with Lily enables us to visualise and bring to life any design project whose focus is ecology and nature. You’ll usually find me in a plant nursery or glasshouse: at the weekend you may also see me co-leading the practical sessions of our garden workshops.
