Design Your Own Garden From Scratch is a welcoming, hands-on 10-week course designed to help you turn your ideas into a garden design of your own.

• Led by a professional landscape architect and garden design educator, this course will introduce you to the fundamental principles of garden design, giving you the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to design your own outdoor space.
• From understanding the layout of your garden and exploring design ideas to selecting materials, creating planting areas and drawing a scaled garden plan, you’ll work through the design process step by step.
• You’ll learn how to develop a concept, create mood boards, organise spaces, use basic garden design symbols and work with measurements and scale. Throughout the course, you’ll apply what you learn to your own garden, receiving professional guidance, individual feedback and support as your design develops.

No previous design experience is needed. You don’t need to be able to draw, and you don’t need specialist software. Just bring your ideas, your curiosity and a willingness to experiment.

By the end of the 10 weeks, you’ll have developed your own garden design and gained the skills to make more informed decisions about how to transform your outdoor space.
